Project Overview

The proposed Whaley solar farm will produce clean renewable energy contributing to local and national energy targets with additional benefits to include:

• Biodiversity net gain for the area over the lifetime of the project;
• Dual use of land with clean energy production and sheep farming;
• One-off community benefit fund to be administered through Elmton with Creswell Parish Council.

  • Location: Land at Whaley, Mag Lane, Derbyshire, NG20 9HY
  • Project size: ~ 25MW PV
  • Site area: 116 acres
  • Grazing: Sheep will graze the site once operational
  • Construction duration: ~ 24 weeks
  • Community Benefit Fund One-off community benefit fund to be administered through Elmton with Creswell Parish Council.
